About

Commercial Interior Design Denver

Commercial interior design is for public spaces that offer a service. They can be retail stores, restaurants, or offices…

The design takes into account the visitor, their safety, and accessibility.

Commercial Interior Design in Denver is quite different than places like California and Miami. The design here connects to the distinctive scenery and nature. You find many preserved historical buildings as well. But you might also see an old industrial building turned into a retail store or restaurant.

It is an interesting mix between the authentic and the new. Denver is growing rapidly allowing for new textures and styles to flourish. Restaurants in Denver focus on the customer experience. This offers opportunities for implementing technology to create an unforgettable visit. The Clifford museum is an example of a new modern approach in Denver. The building creates a relationship between the inside and the outdoor natural light.

That’s what makes design in Denver unique. It’s the blend between the lively nature and inert construction.

What is a commercial interior design?

Commercial design requires thorough planning and problem-solving. The commercial space needs to accommodate people of all ages and abilities so it must be safe. Hiring commercial interior designers that have the know-how of safety codes is a must.

The commercial interior design depends on the users, the type of service, and brand image. The owner is aiming for profitability and promoting his brand identity. The commercial interior designer creates and supervises the execution of a design project. They will be your advisor through all the design processes and selections.

With new technologies booming, the competition is high. Who’s using what? What kind of shadeslighting, and audio are you incorporating inside your space? You want to create a cycle: visitors coming back, new faces interested in exploring your place! Think of exclusivity and experience.

Safety in Commercial interior Design:

Interior design is not limited to choosing colors and textures. There are important building codes and safety guidelines to follow. Your visitors should have a safe visit inside your place. No matter how big the capacity of the space is, emergency exits are planned accordingly.

So you need to think of your visitors, their ages and of course, their moving abilities. Differently-abled people should have the same access to your place as everyone else does.

Don’t be intimidated though, because a professional designer sees it as doing their job!

Our Commercial Interior Design Timeline

Here are the steps of a commercial interior design project.

Programming and pre-design

The designer will understand the information about your brand image and the visitors. They will perceive your expectations of the space, and of course, your budget. This is called programming. Remember, everything has its price.

You can hire a commercial interior designer for consultation only. But it is best to hire them for complete supervision from start to finish. That way, they make sure to follow your schedule and budget. You can choose high-tech solutions or opt for more simple choices.

The designer will guide you according to your budget and needs. They will, at all times provide you with a design containing the key elements of a good commercial space.

Concept proposal and contract document:

The commercial interior designer will present a proposal and a contract. The actual design work starts after signing the contract.

Design development and drawings:

The designer will create AutoCAD drawings and renderings of your space. With mood boards and material suggestions.

Presentation of plans and concept:

The designer will show you their plans and vision of the space. If you approve the design, you will move to the phase of execution. Still, you may want to apply modifications to their propositions.

The designer will probably have other suggestions on the spot. If it was still refused, they will offer you another presentation. Just keep in mind, that the number of modifications might be mentioned on the contract. Otherwise, the revisions will be charged additionally.

Execution of the project:

This is the most exciting part! It is seeing the designs come to life! The designer will present their technical drawings to the concerned technicians. They coordinate with the contractors, and construction workers.

A skilled commercial interior designer presents flawless drawings so no technician work unadvised. The designer will organize the schedule of workers, and check the quality of their work. They will make sure they follow the preset calendar and budget.

Installation

I was wrong, this is the best part! Setting the furniture. You will see the project complete with the right furniture selection, and feel.
